Hi! My name’s Jake, and this, of course, is my blog. I’m a Christian, conservative college student who is a junior at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. When I am not in college, I reside in Douglasville, GA. I’m 20 years old right now.
I first got interested in politics during the 2000 election, but my real political awakening came on 9/11. I may have been young at the time, but I couldn’t avoid becoming interested in how my nation conducts itself after that. My first experiences with political activism came after the disclosure of the Bush administration NSA wiretaps back in December of 2005. I was, obviously, outraged with the New York Times’ lack of discretion.
In my spare time, when I’m not dealing with schoolwork or following politics, I enjoy reading, photography, travelling, studying urbanity and architecture, video games, British comedy, and anime. Also, I love sports, specifically football (Go Atlanta Falcons!) and basketball (Go Atlanta Hawks!).
Until I find a better picture of me (and I will) here’s one of me from an old dorm I used to live in:
